This story has three main characters Oliver Russell, Leslie Stewart and Dana Evans. Oliver Russell is a good looking man who has everything going for him, until he is out of funds while running for governor. He meets a woman named Leslie Stewart who tries to keep his campaign going. Oliver and Leslie start a relationship and are soon to be married. Before they are married Oliver betrays Leslie and she spends her life planning to get revenge on him. Planning her revenge on Oliver has made her a successful woman with power. During the time that Leslie is setting her stage to get her revenge on Oliver, Oliver has become the President of United States. When Dana Evens is introduced into the story, I was, what does Dana have to do with this story. Dana is a real go getter and works hard to get what she want s in life. Sidney Sheldon melts her into the story quite well.This is a great story about POWER and how far people will go to get it and how they use POWER to do what they want and to get what they want.
